Although not a fan of the mixture of graphics (it would have been nice if they were all pixel art rather) the game is actually pretty good. The mechanics are easy enough to understand, but I haven't quite figured out the movement of some of the enemies. They seem to have set rules, but sometimes I'm sure they do something random. Level design and gameplay is great.

The idea is quite nice, but it really needs something to mix it up as each level feels almost identical. Graphics and audio are good.

BoarCub responds:

Thanks for the feedback. I may add better levels in a future version.

It's lots of fun, and I really enjoy the graphics. I just think that the hit area is a little too unforgiving sometimes, especially as you don't know what's coming next.

What are the graphics style/palette based upon?

Will responds:

Thanks JeffreyDriver! The style isn't based on anything so much as it's based on methods I can achieve really, really quickly. So a mix of pixel art and digital collage with REALLY simple animation.

I love the audio and the graphics. the gameplay is generally good and pretty fun, but the controls are guaranteed to be a little frustrating because of the type of game (games which use this control mechanic are, by default, a little frustrating.) You don't mention in your description that you can shoot! It was on my second try I figured it out by accident.

I did enjoy, though I haven't made it too far through so far. Also, the pillars that the artifacts are on? I don't think that I should collide with those. I actually ended up stuck between one and a wall.

With new mechanics, enemies etc. this could be great.

The gameplay/controls are absolutely fine. The levels were all very easy though. Would be good to see more levels with more mechanics.

The controls/movement are solid. I had no issues with getting stuck on edges etc. or with controls not responding.

As for the game, there was no threat or puzzle solving (yes, I know it's a demo.)

Also, let me go to the next level by pressing space. It's annoying to have to go back and forth between my mouse and keyboard. I know that up to enter doors is pretty standard, but you may want to tell the player anyway.

MegaStrimp responds:

Thank you so much for your feedback! We plan to add lots of enemies, puzzle elements, secrets and more in the future.

There's a huge problem in this game: Visibility.

The ball can be really hard to spot, and that's not something that should be an issue in a break-out game.

Apart from that, it doesn't seem to bring anything new.

The game itself is rather bland, but the concept of a bacterium invading the body has potential.

Levels could be trying to infect different organs, taking different paths, dodging antibiotics and white blood cells.

Perhaps you could 'mutate' giving you new abilities.

It seems broken. I can only move left/right and up/down on the initial map until I inexplicably get stuck and nothing happens.

Flame152 responds:

The movement on the stage select is delicate, you can move on the stage select, and click enter to enter the level :) anyways let me know of some more stuff.

So you're going to keep uploading the same BS until it doesn't get blammed?
