Seems far too fast-paced. CPU chases you down in a couple of seconds.

For an avoidance game, the controls are far too unresponsive. Also, would it kill you to mention the controls?

DARKBLUESHADOWPRODUC responds:

I will mention control now
Sorry for inconvenience

Pretty good. I like the idea and the function of each node is pretty clear. The main issue is that if you get stuck in a loop you have to close the window and reopen it.

EDIT: While I was writing this I realised that eventually, the loop stops. Might want to add a reset button anyway.

Criobite responds:

Thanks for playing! You can actually stop the run by clicking the start node again, but I'll definitely make it more obvious in the "remastered" version of the game.

Really good. The controls and movement are solid. Had to repeat battles quite a few times to get enough health for the final battle but it never felt like a chore.

Too many game breaking bugs.

1. Player projectiles can spawn in the wrong place. In the most extreme case, they fire from an enemy and once that enemy (or remains) are off screen you can no longer fire.

2. Movement keys can stop responding.

3. So can the fire keys.

4. Sometimes levels won't end. You'll just keep going upwards even though there are no more enemies.

5. Health/Mana bars sometimes glitch.

Shamahan responds:

Thanks Jeffrey, I very much appreciate your bug report list, I just released a new version of the game that should fix all of these issues!

This is pretty enjoyable. The main issue is when the levels start to become too large and maze-like (level 11 onwards). Needs a map. I almost gave up at Level 13 because I missed a key and had to backtrack. I did manage to complete it will all gems in the end.

Lots of pixel hunting, and by buying the crystal after the map the game became unwinnable and I had to start over.

selfdefiant responds:

You should have to buy the crystal after the map. I tested and everything should work just fine.

I really like this. It looks great, and the controls are very smooth and responsive. A couple of thoughts 1. The main mechanic seems a little overused too early on. 2. Offscreen bounds should be added as there are issues with enemies and traps pausing the moment they leave the screen. 3. Shooting should happen a fraction quicker.

Tie every time against CPU.

It's not obvious what you can interact with and some things are too well hidden (e.g the button for the secret room just looked like a spot of dirt.)

Why can't the shotgun be used everywhere? There's not enough ammo or health pickups, and you can't shoot enemies if they're too close. A major problem with the dogs as they are so fast.
